Ruben y Sabrina Veliz

Sabrina & Ruben start their artistic career in the well known Ballet Brandsen in 1989, as cast members during 8 years. With this company they tour extensively throughout Latin America.
In early 1997 they start their career as a solo couple traveling worldwide with shows as “Tango Emotion” directed by Mora Godoy, “Tango x2” directed by Miguel Angel Zotto, Piazzola Tango” directed by Milena Plebs among others as well as with their creations as Radio Latina, Argentina Tango on Stage,Tango Corazonicos & Dramatic Tango. They were cast in the Nueva Compañia Tangueros as first dancers with wich they premiered the show “Milonga Boulevard” in New York playing the lead couple and their work received excellent reviews from critic Jack Anderson of the”New York Times”. Sabrina & Ruben take part to the most important festivals worldwide.
An exciting moment of their career has been the appearance during the celebration of the 25th anniversary of Queen Beatrix of Holland reign, performing Gallo Ciego with a choreography especially created for this occasion. This event was TV broadcast and viewed by 3.500.000 people.

“Joe” Corbata y Lucila Cionci

Lucila Cionci and Rodrigo “Joe” Corbata founded in 2007 “Formula Tango”, the union of the years of individual experience in shows and festivals.
Surprising is the great plasticity and expressiveness of there dancing presenting innovative choreographic elements and a particular and personal way to improvise; This led them to participate in the most important tango festivals worldwide.
Argentina, Japan, Italy, France, Switzerland, Portugal, Saudi Arabia, Sweden, Turkey, the Netherlands, Ukraine, Spain, Korea, South Africa, Russia, Canada, the United States are the countries where “Joe” and Lucila expressed a philosophy of the original teaching able to get a very good response from students at all levels.

Neri Piliu y Yanina Quiñones

Yanina Valeria Quiñones and Neri Luciano Piliu dance together since 2006. They were professionally trained at the Academia de Estilos de Tango Argentino (ACETA) by famous milongueros and teachers.
They took part in tango competitions in Buenos Aires where they won the first place in both Tango Salon and Escenario: Pre-World Champions-North Zone Tango Salón in 2006/2007, Pre-World Champions West-South Area Tango Show in 2006, Baradero Festival Champions Tango Escenario in 2006 and they gained the second place in the Tango Salon World Championship in 2008, which is held annually in Buenos Aires.
They also performed at the most important Milongas in Buenos Aires, Europe and the World, and also work with the most important tango companies.

Mariana Montes

Mariana Montes and Sebastian Arce have done a lot for promoting tango overseas by their love and commitment to teaching, organizing tango events, and dancing. Their work has taken them to visit since '99 over 140 cities, 35 countries, and counting.
As teachers, Mariana and Sebastian are among the most required, participating yearly in nearly 40 big scale events in Europe, Asia, North America, and Latin America.
Mariana and Sebastian have kept their pedagogical activities around the world non-stop since 1999. Their names are easily found on the top of the casting of the most renown yearly international tango events.
In 2013, Mariana founded his school in Cagliari: “Mariana Montes Tango Club”

World Champions of Tango Escenario 2023

Suyay Quiroga and Jonny Carvajal are the new world champions of Tango Pista 2023. And the incredible thing about all this is that they have been dancing together for ten months even though they have known each other for more than a decade, but they had never had the chance to dance together . She is Argentine, born in Morón, he is Colombian.Suyay dance since she was very little. Like most, she started with ballet. But at the age of six, thanks to a friend of her father, she discovered tango in a club in Morón.“They took me to dance tango with my brother Aoniken and we loved it. They sent us to the back of the room with the beginners to experience what it was like. For us it was two hours of play. It was very funny”. He remembers that at that age he had no idea what tango was, what it meant for Argentine culture. “It was a very fun activity at first. The feeling came much later,” she says.And she adds: “Tango is ours. It is very linked to our culture. What tango has is the communication of two souls. And what we do is improvise in pairs. Which is not very common in the world of dance.She hasn't stopped since then. But she knew that the profession she had chosen was not easy... especially for a woman. “My father told me that dance was very difficult for women. There is little work and there are many people who want to earn a living from this. That's why I decided to follow classical training and graduate... because she helped me work later.For Suyay it was his third Tango World Cup. He says he prepared the couples to compete but did not participate in the tournaments. This time she decided to introduce herself and asked Jonny to accompany her. “We have known each other for more than a decade but only in the last ten months have we had the opportunity to come together to realize this project,” she says.
Jonny is Colombian. He was born and raised in Manizales, north of Bogotá. He started dancing tango at the age of nine. “It was an activity my parents took me to after school. For me it was a game and a lot of fun,” he says.It wasn't until he was 15 that he realized it was a passion. “There I discovered improvisation in tango and this blew me away. Up until that point it was just fun. Then I realized that I wanted to dedicate myself to dancing tango,” he says.In the meantime he studies classical dance and also various Colombian rhythms. But in his head and in her heart he had decided that tango was a tool for artistic expression. “I came here, to Buenos Aires, ten years ago, because I wanted to learn more about tango. And I never left. I became a teacher and professional dancer. And since then I have been teaching and also traveling around the world dancing.”Jonny assures us that tango is magical. He has something that makes him unique. “He has a special mystique that makes him different from other dances. And that's what makes you fall in love so much,” he says enthusiastically. They started training with Suyay ten months ago. “We haven't met since the track competition final last year. And we were both partnerless at the same time. It was then that the idea of working together was born. We immediately realized that we understood each other very well while dancing. But we also worked hard to define a new style.”

Ricardo Astrada y Constanza Vieyto

Tango teachers and choreographers. Coming from the city of Pergamino in the province of Buenos Aires. In 2016 she was a finalist in the world tango championship, performing at the Luna Park Stadium. YShe has been part of companies such as “Dramatic Tango”, “Tango x 2”, “Tanguera el Musical”, “Elegance Tango” directed by Alejandro Totto, “Vértigo Tango” (Aerial Dance). She carried out international tours in Italy, Greece, England, Germany, Japan, Brazil and Chile. She participated to television programs such as “La Hora del Tango” and was a choreographic assistant in the Show Match “Bailando por un Sueño”. In 2022 she becomes world champion of tango escenario with Ricardo Astrada.Ricardo Astrada: He began studying Argentine folklore at the age of 7. He studies jazz, classical, Arabic and Caribbean dances. At the age of 13 he started dancing tango. He was the winner of the youth tournaments in Buenos Aires, as well as champion in Cosquín (2001). He has shared performances with Rubén Juárez, Jorge Sobral, Juanjo Domínguez, María Graña, Virginia Luqués and Oscar Bassil, director of the Pirincho Quintet. He was part of the cast of several companies, “Solo Tango El Show”, “Forever Tango”, “Pasiones Argentinas”, “Tango A Tierra”, “Tango Metrópolis”, “Divino Tango”, “Más siempre del Tango”, “ Evita Perón Tango Bs As”, “Rompiendo el floor”, “Dramatic Tango Min-On”, “Madame Tango” by Andrea Ghidone. He has been present in numerous countries: America, Europe and Asia. In Argentina he participated in several tango houses such as “Esquina Carlos Gardel”, “Viejo Almacén”, “Rojo Tango Hotel Faena”, “Café de los Angelitos”.He is currently part of the show “Rojo Tango” at the Faena Universe Hotel. He is a teacher from the Municipality of Tigre. Furthermore, he is the director of “Evergreen Tango” and choreographic director of “Alto Tango Show”. In 2022 he is the tango world champion with Constanza Vieyto.

Ezequiel Lopez y Camila Alegre

Camila and Ezequiel met in 2012 at the Tango World Cup of that year in which they participated with their former partners and two years later began their journey together.
Camila was trained in the prestigious Municipal Ballet of San Fernando directed by Antonio Martínez and studied ballet and contemporary dance at the Julio Boca Institute.
Ezequiel started his steps in the Municipal Ballet of Arrecifes, Buenos Aires led by his father Carlos López. He also studied ballet and contemporary dance as well as Folklore and Malambo with the legendary Juan Corvalan. He studied Tango in the studio of Mora Godoy with teachers like Daniel Juárez and Alejandra Armenti, Rubén and Sabrina Veliz, Héctor Falcón to name just a few.
They worked at the best Tango Venues in Buenos Aires Show, and the famous Tango Porteño were they are currently part of the regular company. They participated in the film Un Tango Màs that premiered in 2015 and worked with the worldwide famous dancers Maria Nieves & Juan Carlos Copes in which lives the film was based.
They are World Champions of Tango Stage 2015, winning the competition (held in Buenos Aires, Argentina) with the best total score ever.
